A one-of-a-kind job to non-destructively relocate an entire tank and its foundations to a more suitable location to align with modern plant standards
In what it is a one-of-a-kind job, Pipeserv was the lead engineering firm in the relocation of a large tank and its foundations in the Vassiliko tank farm. Using our extensive expertise in tank and vessel design, as well as true engineering problem-solving thinking, we were able to safely perform a job which normally rests outside of traditional Codes and regulations.
The tank was lifted from its foundations in its entirety and transferred into a temporary location. Its concrete supports were then excavated, relocated and refurbished as well. Finally, the tank was lifted again and placed on the new foundation location. The whole operation required few disassembly of non-critical piping and tank parts and was successfully completed without issues.
Pipeserv assigned an elite task force of engineers for planning, engineering and solving several issues to avoid any equipment damage or delays.
